2018 Holiday Party and End of Year Awards

Our 2018 Holiday Party and End of Year Awards is almost here!

Who: All JPPG Members and Guest(s)! Non-Members are welcome, too!

Where: LeJardin on Park, 2594 Park Street, Jacksonville, FL 32204

LeJardin on Park is owned by our very own Member, Michael Myatt, who has graciously invited us to use her venue at no cost to our guild. Her venue is located steps from Park & King Street in Riverside, around the corner from the popular King Street restaurant row. If the weather is nice, we will be able to enjoy her lovely outdoor courtyard and gardens. Ample parking is found next to her venue and at the Jacksonville Pediatrics office next door.

When: Tuesday, December 11, 2018

Come for Social Hour from 6pm – 7pm and enjoy an assortment of appetizers.

BYOB – Glassware is provided and you are welcome to bring your preference of beverages, alcoholic or non-alcoholic, to enjoy throughout the evening. Sweet & unsweet tea and ice water will be provided.

At 7pm, we’ll get the rest of the party going and enjoy the delicious food. You won’t want to miss it!

During this event, we will present all of the End of Year Awards, two Abrisch Scholarships for $300 each to Florida Photography Workshops (formerly Florida School), and we’ll have some great door prizes to give away!

Cost: $35 per person / $70 per couple.

Catering by Carrabba’s Italian Grill.

Dinner Includes Your Choice Of:

  • TOMATO BASIL SALMON – gluten free – Wood-grilled and topped with tomato, basil vinaigrette
  • CHICKEN BRYAN – gluten free – Wood-fire grilled and topped with goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, basil and lemon butter sauce
  • CHICKEN PARMESAN – Coated with Mama Mandola’s breadcrumbs, sautéed and topped with pomodoro sauce, romano and mozzarella
  • PENNE CARRABBA – Wood-grilled chicken, penne pasta, alfredo sauce, peas & mushrooms
  • VEGAN OPTION – Pic Pac Sauce (crushed tomatoes, garlic, basil & olive oil), penne pasta, sautéed broccoli, and light balsamic vinaigrette dressing for your salad.

Dinners include: Salad, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Sautéed Broccoli, Penne Pomodoro, fresh bread with herb mix and olive oil, and an assortment of delicious desserts.

Our Annual Holiday party and Awards Banquet was a perfect end to a great year in the Guild. One of the highlights of the JPPG Holiday Party is the presentation of the JPPG End of Year Awards. We would like to extend congratulations to our Members who were recipients of these well-deserved awards.

Holiday Party and Awards Banquet – December 8, 2016

Our Holiday Party & End of Year Awards Banquet is set for Thursday, December 8th at the Mediterrania Restaurant, located at 3877 Baymeadows Road, Jacksonville, on the corner of Baymeadows Road, just off of San Jose Blvd.

There will be a Social Hour with appetizers from 6pm-7pm. We’ll have a cash bar available for additional purchase, with beer and wine from $3-$6. Our party and dinner will kick off at 7 pm. You won’t want to miss it.

We are very excited to present all the End of Year Awards, two $300 scholarships for Florida School, and we’ll have a lot of awesome door prizes to give away!

You can sign up now by selecting the appropriate button below and choosing your meal. You will need to sign up before Monday, December 5th. The tickets for members are $30 each or 2 for $55. Non member rate for the dinner $40 each or 2 or $65.

  • Roast Chicken – Roasted with Lemon, Olive Oil & Greek Spices; Comes with sautéed spinach and potatoes
  • Lamb Exehico – Baked Lamb Shank with Fresh Onions, Tomatoes, Peppers, Feta Cheese & Greek Spices; comes with sauteed spinach and potatoes.
  • Baked Tilapia – Stuffed with Spinach & Feta Cheese, topped with Lemon Sauce; comes with Rice Pilaf
  • If you have any food allergies, they will accommodate you with Gluten Free or Vegan.

2012 End of the Year Awards and Christmas Party

Our Holiday Party this year was so much fun!   Our President, Damon Fecitt, recapped this year’s highlights including an outstanding mini seminars series, getting nationally known guest speakers at our monthly meetings, our PPA accreditation and he introduced our 2013 Board of Directors.

One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of the JPPG End of Year Awards. Each award has a different set of criteria which can be found on the End of Year Awards page. Congratulations to the 2012 recipients of these awards!

Each year, a member in their first year of membership is awarded the Jim and Adrienne Abrisch Scholarship which provides for full tuition to the upcoming Florida Professional Photographers “Florida School” held in Daytona, FL.

Anyone who becomes a new member of the Jacksonville Professional Photographers Group prior to JPPG’s October meeting is eligible to submit their scholarship application. All applications must be turned in before or at the October meeting.

Jim and Adrienne were JPPG members who tragically died in a small plane crash in Jacksonville in December of 2001.

Our Holiday Party this year was so much fun! With a cozier location, fun Christmas trivia, door prizes, and the Photo Booth, it was an event that we will have to live up to next year!

We welcomed our new President, Damon Fecitt, and the new Board Members including Josh Tayloe, Devin Faulkner and Olis Garber, and said a huge thank you to our outgoing President, Pat Tankersley, who will still sit on the Board of Directors for the next year as a Past President.

We had another great Holiday Party again this year at the new location! The food was delicious, the entertainment was awesome, and being among friends is what the holiday season is all about. Abrisch Scholarship Application Deadline is October Meeting

Jim and Adrienne Abrisch Scholarship

Each year, a PPSNF member in their first year of membership is awarded the Jim and Adrienne Abrisch Scholarship which provides for full tuition to the upcoming Florida School held in Daytona, FL. Anyone who becomes a member prior to the October PPSNF meeting is eligible to submit their scholarship application which must be turned in by the October meeting. The scholarship application consists of six questions which are to be answered in short essay form.

The recipient of the Abrisch Scholarship will be announced at the PPSNF Holiday Party in December.

This scholarship was created in honor of Jim and Adrienne Abrisch who were PPSNF members who tragically died in a small plane crash in Jacksonville in December of 2001.
